WUMC Cookie Walk at Wendell Wonderland

Annual Charity Cookie Walk at Wendell UMC

“Buy a Cookie … Feed a Family!”

Wendell, NC – Mountains of all-time favorite home-baked Christmas cookies will once
again be available for sale as the Wendell United Methodist Church’s Cookie Walk opens
at 5 pm on Friday, December 6, 2024. Offered in conjunction with the annual Wendell
Wonderland event, the Wendell UMC Cookie Walk, in its festive Christmas setting, has
been a cherished local holiday tradition for decades.
Proceeds from cookie sales will support the Food Pantry at Wendell UMC which serves
families experiencing food insecurity in Wendell and surrounding areas. The Pantry, a
partner agency of the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC, provides families with a
three-day emergency supply of food, with additional visits every thirty days.
The Food Pantry at Wendell UMC serves over 100 households a month, representing
400-450 individuals. The need is great – and growing. “Buy a Cookie … Feed a Family!”
A stop at the Cookie Walk will include a wide variety of cookies available for purchase
by the pound, as well as live music to ring in the season. Cookie Walk will remain open
until 7:30 pm (or while supplies last). It will take place in the Fellowship Hall of Wendell
United Methodist Church at 129 North Main Street in Wendell (the intersection of North
Main and Wendell Boulevard). The church is an easy walk from downtown Wendell, or
there is also plenty of parking nearby.
