MISSIONS & OUTREACH

The Missions and Outreach at Wendell United Methodist Church focuses on reaching out from the church into the community to help those in need.  Our ministries include the Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels, and mission trips.  If  you are interested, we welcome new volunteers in each of these ministries.  Contact the church at 919-365-6266.
Our two primary local mission projects are:

Mission Trips

• WHAT IT IS: Mission trips can involve sending organized work teams out for anything from a day trip to help an indigent elderly person with home repairs to extended trips to help rebuild entire communities after natural disasters. Wendell UMC is organizing teams to go out and help with Hurricane Matthew relief and recovery in eastern North Carolina. We also have given financial support to mission trips organized by our youth groups. Volunteers have also built handicapped ramps on homes and worked on Habitat for Humanity projects.

• HOW YOU CAN HELP: When a work team is being organized, sign up and go. If you are willing to help, there will be something that you can do.

• WHO TO CONTACT: The Church office at 919-365-6266

We offer many different Ministries at Wendell UMC. We are a community who comes together to follow Jesus. We are  committed to making God’s love real through our worship, fellowship, and our reflection of the character and heart of Jesus to the people around us.

We encourage you to browse through the different ministries offered and join us as we minister to others!
